The Marchetti Company is a national wine importer and marketing agency based in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Our mission is to provide well-crafted, sensibly priced wines by building and maintaining long-term partnerships with our producers and distributors.
The original agency was founded in 1968 by Gil Schwartz, and purchased in 1988 by Tony Marchetti. The Marchetti Company began importing wine in 2005 from Europe with a focus on distinctive quality and excellent value. Our wines are warehoused under temperature controlled conditions at Seaman’s Beverage and Logistics in Clifton, New Jersey to provide clients with immediate access for rapid distribution. This portfolio is imported under the name Scoperta Importing which means “A Discovery” in Italian.
Our dedication to unique wines is reflected by our role in the increasingly fashionable sake market. We are honored to represent JFC International, supplier of Ozeki Sake, Kikkoman Plum Wine and a host of small-production artisan Japanese sake breweries in 18 states.
Through hard work backed by extensive experience, our wines are now sold in 44 states through a distinguished network of distributors. Our staff is composed of a fine team of passionate, dedicated wine and food enthusiasts diligently focused on customer satisfaction.
