Yoshikubo

Over 200 years ago, Yoshikubo Brewing Co. was first established as a humble rice store before transitioning to sake production. A resilient operation, it has survived destruction during WWII and a massive warehouse fire in the 1980s. The brewery is located in Mito City, capital of the Ibaraki Prefecture, and is currently led by the 11th family generation.

Their sake production uses only locally grown rice and locally sourced spring water. The brewing is hands-on and old-school, reflecting their long history. Their flagship sake, Ippin, has been brewed for over two centuries.
